It is recommended that learners are competent in: 
Communication at NQF Level 4 or equivalent. 
Basic numeracy and literacy. 
Computer literacy.

∙Analyse the treatment and script.
∙Produce a project plan.
∙Maintain financial controls.
∙Manage cast and crew.
∙Manage the wrap and report.

SAQA: 243963 Schedule and monitor film and television production resources

∙Plan schedules that adhere to production plans
∙Select resources required for shoots.
∙Communicate schedules to all relevant persons
∙Coordinate resources through relevant production processes.
